Everyone thanks to me

Since I got a raise in salary, I handed out my English paper which is about "how to serve for foreigner in English", and it gave me loads of thanks from my collegue.

Considering the years when Ninja has opened the restaurant, for seven years, it is obviously unprepared management that there is no English manuals in Ninja. As far as I think that the reason why there's no manuals how to serve is that there are no one can speak English, or even if someone could, he/she didn't focus on serving well in English. Those situation caused lacks of English service manuals, so I made it up by myself, and handed it out to Ninja staffs.

As a resul, so many my collegues said to me "thank you very much"or"this is what I really wanted" etc. Felling so greatful, I decided I will make full of English service manuals for Ninja Akasaka.

Raise in Salary

I have been working for NINJA AKASAKA for a year, and last night I took an interview with my manager.

Finally I got a raise in salary thanks to English service.

Since I bacame Ninja, Ive been studying how to serve in English for foreigners. Sometimes I asked to my University professor, and sometimes I read some books in witch Japanese foods are mentioned. Through those experiences and hard work, yesterday I got a raise at last.

Fortunately, working for Ninja Akasaka is not just part time job for me. It's part of my life, and it gave me lots of precious experience and opportunity to meet people from all over the world. Thanks to that environment, I am able to talk to them in Japanese and English, also because of our theme"NINJA", I can talk to them really friendly and fairly.

Because of those experience I could have, I decided to be No.1 English Server in Ninja Akasaka, and at this point, I am No.1 English waiter. This result gave me a raise.

So, from now on, in order to express my feeling of appreciation to Ninja Akasaka, today I submit a list to Ninja Manager which I wrote down how to use Ninja English.

If you have foreign friend or any plan to invite your friend, come to NINJA, and designate the Ninja his name is シュート.

Result of the TOEIC test

Yesterday I got TOEIC score which I took on Oct.26th that has been really long about a year. So just I wanted to chack my English skill out and hopefully wanted to mark over 900 or at least best score Ive ever taken.

[The Result]
Listening 440
Reading 410

Total 850.

Althogh this score is my best score, I was not satisfied because I made lots of efforts during October to mark over 900. What I felt when I look at my score was that marking over 900 at TOEIc is not so easy as I thoght. But marking over 900 during im university student is my least goal, so I will keep studying for Next year's test. Just keep going.

English

Some people often believe when people go abroad or stay for several months in other country, they could be fluent English speaker.
And only those people know the answer who went abroad for several months.
Mostly, it is impossible to be fluent speaker without so much efforts. e.g, study English more than a year.

Actually, in my case, before I went to Oregon University, I studied for a year by means of taking workshops and studied by myself. Just right before Oregon, I had kind of little confidence because of so much efforts, for instance, not only studying by myself, but also I took so many trial lessons those were mainly held by English conversation schools. Because of that, I tried to speak English with foreigners face to face, and got little confidence.

However, the real world gave me a great shock and awe. In Oregon at the first time, I couldnt communicate with my host well. Generally this is common story, but for me it was really shocking due to that kind of confidence. Since then, I had studied English much harder while I was in Oregon, also I had tried to do so many challenging things such as participating to American soccer team and boxing gym etc.

In conclusion, I want to say this words to the people who will go abroad from now on.
Just believe yourself, and do much effort. "It all depends on you".

刺激になる先輩

I was in a soccer club when I was in a high school in Tokyo. There are over 300 high schools in tokyo in which more competitive than other prefecture to win at a competition. Despite the competitiveness, my team won many times and the last record was final four. Of course I was regular player as a striker, No.9. Moreover my exam score was also very good. Normally I was No.1 in my class room for three years even though almost all studing was just instant memorize, so after exam quickly I forgot everything what I memorised.

Those were the tipical my high school story. As you may found, I was bit clever, not intelligent though, and there were nobody who I thoght he is better than me in terms of exam and playing sports. Due to those expericence I mentioned above, I was kind of snob absolutely.

However, there was a great older friend in my University and he totally changed and broke my pride. The relationship between him and me was just same colloquium group, and sometimes we had opportunities to use English to foreign students or teacher. And in those chance, I realised how great his English is and how amazing his way of thinking is. He spoke English extremely fluently and used proper vocablary. I was shocked to be honest because I couldnt think I can be like him. He was totally sophisticated.

This experience changed my pride. Since this happen, I never think of other friends that I am better than them.

The reason why I wrote this story suddenly is that yesterday the guy came to my university and gave me graduated thesis which is written in English and amazingly great thisis it was. Appropriate logic, high level vocablary, and dedicated research. He motivated me so much. Ok then, Ill keep writing English diary for this blog again. Yes I can.
